Egg traders

Dear Sir/Mdm

1. We would like to inform that SFA has reviewed United States (US) export requirements and procedures for hen shell eggs.

2. Previously, SFA maintained a list of SFA-approved US layer farms on our website. With immediate effect, importers may now import shell eggs from shell egg processing facilities that are listed on USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) online commercial facility listing (“Plantbook”). The USDA PlantBook is a real-time listing of commercial processing facilities that utilizes AMS grading services, and this includes shell egg processing facilities. Only shell egg processing facilities that are listed in the PlantBook are eligible for export from US. You may also access the  PlantBook via our revamped accreditation database, i.e. Accreditation Database of Overseas Sources (ADOS) on our website.

3. Every consignment of shell egg shall be accompanied with veterinary health certificates issued by USDA.

4. Please contact SFA should you have any enquiries.
